PORT PERRY, ONTARIO — Remmen Brakes, a Canadian developer of advanced electromechanical braking systems, has been accepted into MobilityXlab Batch 16, joining a cohort of five companies selected to collaborate with leading global automotive organizations Magna, Volvo Group, Zeekr Technology Europe, and Zenseact.
Participation in the program will enable Remmen Brakes to work directly with MobilityXlab partners’ engineering and product teams to further advance its NEMB technology, with a focus on performance, safety, and integration within electrified and next-generation vehicle platforms.
MobilityXlab is a Sweden-based collaboration hub that provides startups with a structured environment for technical validation and co-development through hands-on collaboration with its corporate partners. Hosted by Lindholmen Science Park in Gothenburg, Sweden, the program is designed to accelerate innovation in future mobility by connecting emerging technology companies with established automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.
Remmen Brakes is a mobility technology company developing advanced brake-by-wire systems for modern vehicles. Its proprietary Nonlinear Electromechanical Braking (NEMB) platform combines motor-driven calipers with intelligent control software to deliver faster braking response, zero drag, reduced emissions, and improved vehicle dynamics—supporting OEMs as they transition to safer, cleaner, and more software-defined vehicle architectures.
